Two Swans Wedding Farm – Tanya & Donavan

On the morning of the 29th December 2015 at their beach house in Mpekweni, Donavan announced that that he was going for a run knowing that Tanya would want to follow along on his mountain bike. He took her along a dirt road through a farm which led to amazing river views. As beautiful as the views were Tanya struggled to keep up and eventually said that she couldn’t go any further and thought of turning back home, much to Donavan’s relief she didn’t. Finally, when they got to their destination – the point that overlooked the river – Tanya basically fell off the bike grabbing her asthma pump! “I thought I was dying!” she says. They stood on an anthill taking in the scenery, while she tried to catch her breath and lose her tomato red face. She turned to get something to drink when he put his arms around her and held the ring in front of her asking him to marry him! Tanya was in total shock, just staring at the ring and the only thing that could come mind was “Did you ask my Dad?” He told her did and Tanya was speechless again. It took her a good few seconds to remember to say “Yes” and slip right off the anthill in excitement. Riding back to the beach house proved equally difficult because she couldn’t take her eyes of her gorgeous ring! Little did Tanya know but Donavan had the ring since April 2015. He was being a true brother waiting for his sister’s wedding to be over as to not steal her limelight! Well done Donavan for keep that little secret for so long! This wedding is extra special for me since I had the pleasure of photographing his sister Nicola’s marriage to Tim in December and now Donavan’s marriage to Tanya! It was great seeing everyone again. It rained on Nicola and Tim’s wedding and it rained on Tanya and Donavan’s wedding as well! Blessings from Heaven on both these marriages. And of course their Beagle, Tucker, stole the show in his little bowtie!
