Bongekile & Nomonde got married in Mt Ayliff, which is just a hop, skip and a jump from Kokstad. They declared their vows to each other in front of family, friends and the community who celebrated their day with ululating and shouts of joy! The beautiful thing about an African wedding is how the everyone comes together. I love seeing all the matriarchs of the families work together in the kitchen or outside cutting vegetable and cooking huge pots of meat chatting up storm between them. Meat is a very important part of an African wedding! Their day enjoyed a sunny, summer’s day, with so much singing and dancing – Nomonde and Bongi’s family know how to celebrate!
Now that’s the face of a proud dad! Don’t you just love that smile?
These amazing dancers graced the Bride and Groom with their presence.
Listening to speeches is hard work for this little man!
Thank you Bongi & Nomonde for choosing me to document your Wedding Day.
